AyuNitya Account and Data Deletion
You have full ownership of your personal wellness records. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Method 1: Direct In-App Deletion (Recommended)
If you have the AyuNitya mobile app installed, you can delete your account instantly with immediate confirmation:
- Open the AyuNitya application on your Android device.
- Tap the menu drawer on the top-left or your avatar to go to Profile & Account.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen to the Danger Zone.
- Tap Delete Account & Personal Data.
- Confirm the prompt. Your account, authentication tokens, and all records will be deleted immediately from our database.
What Personal Data is Deleted?
When an account is deleted, the following data is permanently purged and cannot be recovered:
Name, email address, password hash, and user identifier.
Uploaded custom avatar image files are deleted from storage disk.
Habit names, schedules, reminders, and historical completion logs.
All private entries, notes, and tagged observations.
All article bookmarks and completed lesson milestones.
All active Sanctum API tokens and Google OAuth links revoked.
Data Retention & Non-Deleted Data
Shared Educational Articles: AyuNitya's public educational guides, classical Panchakarma overviews, and article categories are shared public resources that do not belong to individual users and are not deleted when an individual user leaves.
No Hidden Retention: We do not keep shadow profiles, orphaned images, or inactive journal records after account deletion. Deletion from our primary database is immediate.
Processing Timeline
- In-app deletion: Processed instantly upon confirmation.
- Web form requests: Reviewed and processed within 48 to 72 business hours following ownership verification.
